Scaling for High Energy Laser (HEL) and Relay Engagements, or SHaRE, is a collection of scaling law functions used for generating estimates of laser system performance. The inputs to a SHaRE model include the detailed system parameters (laser power, wavelength, aperture, beam control, ...), engagement geometry (positions and velocities), target parameters (reflectivity, lethality, aimpoints, ...), and atmospheric conditions (extinction, turbulence, wind, ...). From these inputs, a SHaRE model can provide estimates of laser beam profile on target as well as required laser dwell time to desired effect. SHaRE, provides a generalized scaling law modeling toolbox in the form of a compiled library or C application programming interface (API). The modeling tools available in SHaRE are designed to be used within applications such as MATLAB or Python, but do not depend on the host applications as they can also be accessed using a programming language such as C++. Using SHaRE the analyst can greatly benefit from an organized computer code package that has the following properties:
